  • We’re looking for a Production / Machine Operator to join our Computershare Communication Services team. Printing 40-50 million images per year and sending nearly 20 million mail packs on behalf of our clients;

    This is a hands-on role in an industrial setting - following strict guidelines to operate our large printing and enclosing machines.

    A role you will love

    You will join our small production team of 6-7 team members on a rotational shift pattern who are responsible for the preparation, production, and dispatch of physical (paper based) customer communications.

    You will be operating production equipment including but not limited to digital printing, booklet making and enclosing machines or manual hand sorting and enclosing.

    You will follow pre-agreed procedures, ensuring quality products are produced in a timely manner, adhering to Key Performance Indicators.

    Key Responsibilities

  • Operate equipment and systems in line with Computershare and manufacturers guidelines
  • Achieve scheduled output figures in line with expectations
  • Demonstrate safe working practices at all times and ensure Computershare HSE guidelines are adhered to
  • Produce quality output, highlighting any defects at time of detection
  • Achieve 100% reconciliation of all output to ensure all work is compliant and in line with Computershare and customer requirements
  • Dispatch in line with customer requirements, adhering to supplier guidelines
  • Performance measured by supplier service reviews, daily output figures, weekly housekeeping audit results, completed service and incident count

    Working Hours

  • Rotational shift work between the hours of 6 : 00am-2 : 00pm, and 2 : 00pm-10 : 00pm. Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week .
  • Overtime is seasonal; due to nature of the business unexpected peaks may require overtime. Requirements may be received with tight deadlines and short notice, during the day or at weekends.
  • Additional Information

  • Production factory environment - full adherence to HSE always required including us of PPE steel toe-capped boots and t-shirt will be provided by Computershare
  • Operators must be very aware and work within the fact that our business is required to be accredited to certain international quality standards and their actions support the ongoing maintenance of those accreditations
  • Masks are not required whilst working on machinery but are required to be worn when walking around
  • What will you bring to the role?

    You don’t necessarily need experience in an industrial role, just the right attitude, adaptability, and willingness to learn! You would need the following skills and competencies to be successful.
