Rexel UK have a fantastic opportunity for an Internal Sales Person to join our FM team in Warrington. As an Internal Sales Person you will provide effective management of a defined account / s, and to develop new business through proactive customer calling to a pipeline of customer contacts which meets Banner, Branch, Region and Company targets and demonstrates exceptional customer service.
The role will be the customer’s first impression of Rexel and will work closely with the customer, adhering to their internal processes and ensuring full compliance with service level agreements (SLA) as part of an existing contracts.
Being effective in this role is demonstrated by the added value delivered to the customer and Rexel.
The Role :
As an Internal Sales Person, your main responsibilities will be to :
Provide a consistent excellent level of personal service.
Daily telesales activities to a defined customer group / sector
Build and maintain successful partnerships with customer, colleagues and suppliers and focus on achievement of long term customer loyalty.
Work with the customer contract Service Level Agreement’s to identify opportunities that will bring benefit to both parties (example : new processes, product ranges, energy efficiency products)
Consistently generate profitable sales for Rexel, through effective use of a range of telephone techniques (inbound and outbound), customer / supplier networking and electronic resources.
Apply the basic principles of margin management to generate profitable sales.
Ensure that company and market information is used to develop and maximise profit opportunities.
Contribute to sales development and service activities including collaboration with customer, colleagues and suppliers e.
g. Promotion, new product launches.
Provide management with required reports, information and feedback to contribute to the effective planning and performance management of the business in agreed formats and within agreed timeframes.
Work with engineers, on their requisitions, making sure that the correct product is coded.
Seek opportunities to identify new customer contacts and revenue streams from wider product offering by working with key suppliers, proactive approach to generate new sales opportunities, to include customer connect listings as supplied by National FM Operations Manager.
Raise customer orders on customers system for authorisation (if required).
To coordinate and manage implementation of Smart Stores Solutions.
Maintain awareness of Health & Safety policy and procedures and highlight any non-conformance to management or the appropriate specialist function.
Carry out additional responsibilities as may be reasonably requested by the Management.
Comply with all company processes and tools used to document and track opportunities, order and report progress (Example : CRM Tool)
Work with external sales force, colleagues and suppliers to identify new customer opportunities to focus on the achievement of continued sales growth
Work with internal Rexel contacts to open and secure new accounts
Participate in sales development and service activities focused on key vertical’ sectors (example : Hospitality, Leisure) on an as required basis
Remain knowledgeable and up-to-date on the product portfolio, services, industry changes and competitive landscape
Work with team colleagues to achieve overall customer engagement targets
Work with National and Regional sales teams to ensure a seamless customer experience is achieved
Deliver a first-class customer experience
The Person :
As an Internal Sales Person for Rexel, you will need :
Minimum 1 Year experience in a competitive, customer focused sales or business environment either in telesales or in a face to face selling role
Excellent numerical, verbal & written communication skills
Proven influencing and negotiation skills
Excellent time management, accuracy and attention to detail
Self- motivated and enthusiastic, Can do’ attitude
Ability to remain calm and professional whilst working under pressure
Good Organisational and Planning Skills
Excellent telephone communications skills and attention to detail
Demonstrate the highest level of customer service throughout each customer engagement
A high degree of energy, drive and enthusiasm whether working independently or within a team
Resilient approach to outbound calling, able to handle rejection and channel into a positive approach for subsequent calls
Ability to thoroughly prepare for the daily calls, and ensure daily actions are completed within the agreed timescales

As an Internal Sales Person for Rexel, you will need to have :
Excellent IT skills
Understanding of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Powerpoint & Outlook.
Experience of working with CRM tools desirable
Electrical product knowledge is a distinct advantage

The Internal Sales Person role is a FULL TIME 13 Month FTC position MONDAY FRIDAY and we offer a pension, life assurance, 25 days holiday plus statutory bank holidays.
