As Head of Pricing, you'll devise and implement the group pricing strategy working closely with the Director, building on an existing plan or creating a new one using a fresh eyes approach.

With a continuous improvement mind-set, this will be reviewed and refreshed at appropriate periods of the fiscal cycle.

You'll lead a small team to support the delivery of the strategy in line with the organisation's strategic direction, using value based pricing to underpin the overall goals, working in collaboration with and supporting sales and category managers in the definition of the market offering.

Key to this strategy is also implementation, operationalisation and execution of governance of the pricing model and process

In addition to the above responsibilities include :

  • Developing a multi-year pricing strategy
  • Using value-based pricing methodology to structure pricing model and define levels
  • Creating related sales tools, financial pricing models, commercial terms and conditions and field delegation(s) of authority
  • Ensuring competitive pricing by market research and competitor pricing analysis
  • Providing support to the 3rd parties involved including negotiations with vendors and partners
  • Driving pricing actions to capitalise on opportunities and exceed the plan
  • The ideal candidate

  • Comprehensive relevant pricing experience in B2B, a blend of additional experience in B2C is an advantage
  • Expert knowledge and understanding of pricing processes and implementation
  • Proven experience of implementing and maintaining pricing governance, with on-going reviews of price discipline
  • Ability to operationalise pricing models into contracts and sales processes
  • Strong analytical skills ideally combined with strategic and critical thinking
  • Ability to understand data and information available to drive pricing decisions, with ability to convert data into meaningful business intelligence for decision-making
  • Knowledge of IT platforms, data centre and software technologies
  • A confident decision maker comfortable working within agreed boundaries and with Senior Leadership and cross functionally
  • Confident in seeking advice in more difficult situations and working with other business Leaders
  • Degree level education ideally in business, economics or mathematics
  • Desirable

  • International market experience
  • Masters degree level in a business-related discipline
  • Professional Pricing Society member with appropriate accreditations
