About the Role

The Family Department provide law advice surrounding divorce, financial arrangements, and issues surrounding children and domestic violence.

To consistently deliver a high standard of legal advice to clients in a commercially astute manner, delivering outstanding client service at all times.

To assist with the marketing of the department’s services and undertaking business development activities to build on the firm and team’s reputation for excellence.

  • Manage own caseload of private matrimonial files, under supervision, focusing predominantly on the financial aspects of marriage breakdown.
  • Assist partner on more complex financial matters
  • Deal directly with clients to take instructions and have a clear understanding of matrimonial practice and procedures to deliver on client expectations
  • Work closely with partner and senior solicitor to develop client relationship skills
  • Raise personal profile and attract work; take responsibility for aspects of BD projects within the department
  • Skills & Experience :

  • Qualified Solicitor with 0-3 years PQE.
  • Previous experience with a Family law department with emphasis on matrimonial financial matters
  • Ability to manage own files with minimal supervision.
  • Strong client management skills with a focus on delivery of excellent client service.
  • Organised and able to effectively prioritise.
