This is an exciting new opportunity to join Anderson Strathern as Head of Marketing and Business Development (BD), responsible for driving performance and managing the Marketing team and in overseeing marketing and BD across the firm.
You will have an in-depth understanding of the customer journey and know how to deploy each channel to successfully engage and acquire new clients, with a proven experience and successful track record, utilising a data-driven approach.
This role will report to the Managing Partner and the Commercial Director. You will ensure delivery by the team and collaborate with senior stakeholders on their strategy.
What you will be responsible for
Development, delivery and owning of the annual Marketing and BD strategy
Collaborating with Managing Partner, Chair and Commercial Director on firm-wide and individual team business strategy
Line Management of Marketing & BD team members including setting team objectives and performance development plans
Reporting on performance and KPI’s
Managing Marketing and BD budgets in line with ROI
Use the CRM to identify and target specific customer groups
Devise and present ideas and strategies to the appropriate departments
Organise the website, email marketing, media relations and all social channels to ensure each communications channel is delivering according to the marketing strategy
Managing consultants, temporary staff and agencies to enable the delivery of the communications and marketing plan and day to day activity to support the business
Directing the team with regard to brand and tone of voice across all communications and marketing content
Acting as a point of contact for the firm in all things brand and tone of voice
Writing articles, website content, social media content and marketing material
What you will need to succeed
CIM qualified and evidence of completing regular CPD
Experience in managing Marketing and BD departments in professional services
Experience of creating strategies and executing campaigns to drive leads
Minimum of 5 years Managerial experience
Communicating and presenting to various audiences
Excellent organisational skills and the ability to lead a team to produce results
Excellent persuading and influencing skills with the ability to present at senior level
Public Relations and Communications :
Media relations and editorial placement
Creating and delivering PR & Communications campaigns which complement the marketing strategy
Crisis management planning for public relations
Manage the marketing team to deliver the marketing strategy
Lead and direct the marketing strategy and reporting
Social Media :
Ability to delivering strategic direction for social media content
Plan and execute social media content
Ability to write for the web and online audiences
Use monthly reports to continually improve and optimise article content
Have a deep understanding of all audience types
Writing articles for a specific audiences
Disseminate content across relevant channels to specific audiences
Managing weekly and monthly reporting and reporting regularly to stakeholders
Experienced at using data to drive the decision making progress
