This post primarily focusses on risk management and provides the full range of technical support for the risk management arrangements across the trust.
The role involves significant use and manipulation of data within the risk Management module on Ulysses.
In addition this post provides technical support for the health and safety function, including onsite surveys, measurements and assessments as well as support for incident management as capacity allows.
Main duties of the job
To be the primary source of expertise in the use of the Risk Management module on Ulysses.
To provide day to day support for Risk Owners and Assessors in maintaining their risks and ensuring appropriate attention is paid to reviews and updates.
To coach and guide Risk Assessors and Owners in the creation of risks on the Ulysses system
To populate standardised risk reports for Assurance Committees, Risk Management Group, Governance Assurance Groups and other forums with a remit for risk management.
To extract non-standard reports from Ulysses as required
To provide additional technical support to the Health, Safety and Risk Team in relation to health and safety issues.
Working for our organisation
We operate from three main hospitals-Furness General Hospital (FGH) in Barrow, the Royal Lancaster Infirmary (RLI), and Westmorland General Hospital (WGH) in Kendal, as well as a number of community healthcare premises including Millom Hospital and GP Practice, Queen Victoria Hospital in Morecambe, and Ulverston Community Health Centre.
FGH and the RLI have a range of General Hospital services, with full Emergency Departments, Critical / Coronary Care units and various Consultant-led services.
WGH provides a range of General Hospital services, together with an Urgent Treatment Centre, that can help with a range of non-life threatening conditions such as broken bones and minor illnesses.
All three main hospitals provide a range of planned care including outpatients, diagnostics, therapies, day case and inpatient surgery.
In addition, a range of local outreach services and diagnostics are provided from community facilities across Morecambe Bay.
