Domus are delighted to be working with a fantastic children-based company working, recruiting for an Assistant Head of Service in the Lancashire / North Yorkshire region.
They are a family established, privately owned organisation; with a leadership team that have excelled for over a 100 combined years in giving their all and going the extra mile for looked after children, receiving the highest number of Ofsted Outstanding’ rated services in the residential children’s homes sector.
This role is paying between £50,000 and £60,000 per annum with a potential 10% bonus on top of that.
Assistant Head of Service Experience needed :
Must have a degree or equivalent. Must also have a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
Extensive experience of working in social, emotional and mental health needs sector (minimum 5 years).
Experience of working at senior management level (at least 2 years).
Management experience in health or social care, preferably experience in children and young people.
Knowledge of legislation, regulations, inspection frameworks, quality standards and statutory guidance relating to children looked after and in residential care.
Proven experience of working collaboratively and in partnership with other agencies e.g. education, health, police or Ofsted.
Experience of effectively managing and delivering services.
Must have a safeguarding knowledge base to advise and guide internal managers and also liaison with external relevant partner agencies.
Assistant Head of Service Interview process :
The interview process will be run over 2 stages.
The first stage will consist of a competency assessment and a panel interview with senior management and young people.
If successful, candidates will be invited to the final stage which includes delivery of a presentation at the head office, judged by a panel of senior management.
