As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be playing a pivotal role in the future growth and management of the business. You will be instrumental in the future success and performance of the business and its suppliers.

Reporting directly into the Head of Commercial, you'll be joining at the start of a very fast paced and exciting growth phase of the business with lots to get stuck into.

We're looking for someone who can .

  • Manage all aspects of the contractor, contractual and financial aspects of our projects from estimate to agreement
  • Apply cost management and planning to said projects
  • Assist in identifying or predicting potential risks and take precautions to mitigate risk
  • Understands the valuation of construction work
  • Provide support / guidance and knowledge to others within the business in relation to building budgets to deliver works
  • Confidently assess and approve contractor payment applications
  • Discuss Fibre technologies, with an understanding of commercial implications
  • Change management and contractor agreement
  • The right person will

  • Be a Decisive Thinker and able to analyse information quickly and use it to make robust decisions.
  • Have a good understanding of Fibre Optic Infrastructure and Network Build
  • Have a good commercial acumen and understanding of processes and procedures when discussing contractual issues
  • Have direct experience / exposure in a telecoms- based business (desirable)
  • Track record of continuous improvement in value and cost, understanding of the use and value of services within civils / contractors ideally within the telecoms arena.
  • Analytical, solution oriented and able to deal with a fast moving environment
  • Knowledge, Skills & Experience :

  • 5 + years' industry experience especially useful with BT or Openreach
  • Negotiation Skills and ability to talk to various management levels
  • BSc Quantity surveying degree level (or equivalent)
  • Job spec will be office based with a requirement to visit site intermittently.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong academic and demonstrable experience working under pressure in a fast-paced role
  • Excellent commercial and business awareness
