Within our Global Sales division we are currently looking to recruit an Account Manager (UK North) who is responsible for planning and managing the overall account, and drives, the total Elsevier business with the account.

Focus of the position

You will be responsible for maximizing sales of Elsevier’s Clinical Solutions products (such as Order Sets, Care Planning and ClinicalKey).

Your focus will be growing the decision support solutions at healthcare institutions, in line with our international e-strategy.

You will also be responsible for driving e-revenues, market penetration and conversion and further developing relationship network while reaching high customer satisfaction level.

You will become part of the Clinical Solutions Sales Team in Europe, a team of enthusiastic sales professionals and you will report to the Regional Sales Manager based in the Netherlands.

Your responsibilities

  • Sales Account Manager - UK North - responsible for managing and driving the sales of Elsevier Clinical Key and a suite of online / clinical decision support solutions to the UK NHS and Healthcare Markets through servicing and expanding the pipeline
  • Responsibility for managing and driving the sales activity to ensure targets are achieved for the entire Elsevier Clinical Solutions portfolio.
  • Drive UK revenue by the promotion and gaining of annual subscriptions for Elsevier Clinical Solutions within the NHS trusts
  • Deliver according to the sales strategy of cross-selling with other products
  • Tap into existing NHS relationships / contacts (pipeline) to drive the sales of a suite of Elsevier online solutions
  • Managing a direct sales process in an independent and highly professional way
  • What you should bring

  • University Degree preferably in Science, Healthcare and / or Technology
  • Successful Health / Life sciences sales track record in UK Institutional sales
  • Love building relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders (e.g. senior levels)
  • Experience in and adept at building out (expanding) business with a customer
  • Experienced in strategic account planning; can connect the dots within customer’s institutions
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
  • Experienced in working in an international matrix organization would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of the UK Health Market and NHS
  • This job requires frequent travelling to diverse locations within your respective territory (60%).
