Closing Date : Key areas of responsibility :

  • The emphasis is on nursing; including some intensive care, pain scoring and ensuring care and medications are administered through the night.
  • Excellent customer service skills are required to deal with emergency phone calls and provide care for distressed owners requiring patient triages, admissions and discharge appointments are a common factor of this role.
  • You will become an integral part of our team, where CPD is encouraged. You will be enthusiastic and a good communicator who has confidence when dealing with our clients regarding their pets welfare.
  • This role is a working night shift with support provided by another nursing team member and an on call vet.
  • What we are looking for :

  • University Degree in Veterinary Nursing OR Current Level 3 Diploma in Veterinary Nursing is desirable but not essential if adequate experience.
  • keen interest in developing or adding to their existing knowledge of emergency and critical care
  • Good communication skills (both written and oral).
  • Confident and competent decision making skills.
  • Able to manage own time effectively.
  • Able to work autonomously.
  • Able to work well under pressure.
  • Able to make sound clinical decisions.
