Overview : As part of the Responsible Designer for the Hinkley Point C project, our Client provides Engineering Design support for the Balance of the Nuclear Island (BNI).

We are looking for a hands-on, proactive and organised Documentation Assistant with the ability to work with electronic tools and platforms ideally in a project engineering environment.

Key Competencies : Must be organised and able to manage multiple tasks. Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.

Highly organised, logical thinker and ability to work towards tight deadlines. Excellent written communication skills, conscientious, attention to detail.

Can-do and questioning approach.Main Activities : . The Documentation Assistant will :

  • Provide support for the management of documents using a Document Management System (GED)
  • Check the quality of documents to ensure they meet the Project and Company Standards
  • Support the management and update of a Tracker
  • Ensure the correct distribution of deliverables
  • Manage document storage and archiving
  • Provide support to the Engineers with administrative tasks such as creating transmittal reports

  • Essential :

  • Previous experience of document management
  • Educated to A Level standard or above
  • Knowledge of electronic document management systems and other electronic tools and platforms
  • Ability to use MS Office & Outlook
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a team as well as on own initiative
  • Results focused with the ability to meet commitments & deadlines
  • Highly organised with attention to detail
  • Fluent in English written & verbalDesirable :
  • Experience of working in a fast pace engineering project environment
