About Risk & Analytics ITRisk and Analytics (R&A) was one of the first truly cross-asset teams created within the Investment Bank.

Comprising over 1700 people in 9 countries, our objective is to consolidate, streamline and simplify Risk generation, analysis and visualisation within the Investment Bank onto strategic, cross-

asset platforms.Wherever possible we are taking and enhancing existing best of breed solutions from across R&A and migrating other asset classes onto those solutions.

About RFT / AF ITThe Asset Financing Risk & Analytics team is responsible for evaluating, monitoring, and controlling trade representation, curve construction, NPV calculation, PNL explain, and risk reporting.

Priorities is to ensure comprehensive and effective control and independent challenge to support the Asset Financing trading desks to meet risk management and regulatory requirements in its commercial objectives across global regions.

The projects will include enhancement and daily support of an award winning fixed income financing curve engine. Key Accountabilities

  • Development (60%). Hands-on coding of enhancements required for curve construction, risk generation and PnL reporting.
  • Good understanding of Fixed Income instruments, Equities financing and Repo business.

  • Business facing and L3 support (40%) : Support monitoring and troubleshooting of both production and non-production environments.
  • Address any business user queries promptly while minimize impact to business.

    Stakeholder Management and Leadership

  • Relationship management will be a critical competency for this role as there will be a broad and impactful range of engagement with partners in Asset Financing business, Product management, Run-
  • The-Bank, QA, BA, Program Management and Prime Services Operations. This role has overall responsibility of managing stakeholder expectations (have business stakeholders across 3 regions) for projects role holder will be leading.

  • Provide key role in architectural vision & leadership to build sustaining platform
  • Work in collaboration with business partners to build long lasting and high quality services to our clients
  • Demonstrate strong influence and conflict management skills as well as talent development and expectations management skills.
  • Decision-making and Problem Solving

  • Handle production issues in matured way; provide / implement tactical solutions to minimize impact to business followed by strategic solutions
  • A detailed hands-on experience of the top-to-bottom technologies of the stack or equivalent development area
  • Final say regarding technical decisions in a collaborative team based approach.
  • Owns the overall solution design that the team is working on
  • Risk and Control ObjectiveEnsure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.

  • At least 3-5 years of experience
  • OS : Linux, Windows
  • Database : Oracle
  • Languages : Java, Perl, C++, Python, Oracle SQL, Excel a plus
  • Preferred : knowledge of Fixed Income instruments, Asset Financing, Repo, Analytics, Risk, PnL.
  • Communication skill : Business facing and must be able to communicate and interact effectively with business users, product quants, project managers and IT stakeholders.
  • Must be well organized and able to meet stakeholder delivery commitments.
  • Experienced in supporting production environment, resolve all possible issues proactively.
  • Desirable skills / Preferred Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • Exposure working in a globally distributed teams in Banking and Financial Services environment
