Account Manager (Automotive BIW)

The company

A privately-owned Automotive Manufacturing business who employ over 200 staff and are based in the heart of the Coventry manufacturing Industry.

This company has seen exponential growth in the last 18 months and are now seeking an Account Manager to join them at an exciting time in their journey.

The role

An Account Manager is now required to join the business as a result of a substantial increase in work with their customers.

The Account Manager will be joining a well-established team which has a wealth of industry experience.

You will take responsibility for :

  • Account Management of a specific customer, this is likely to be a customer with which you have had the most experience of working with
  • Quoting for packages of new work, working alongside the existing technical support
  • Acting as the first point of contact for any customer concerns, relaying and escalating this information to the relevant internal teams across Project Management, Quality, Production and Manufacturing
  • Ensuring the on-time delivery of the project to the customer
  • Further establishing existing relationships and growing the businesses portfolio with it's current client base, encouraging customers to increase orders and expanding work with them into a varied amount of parts and projects
  • What you need

    It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following :

  • Previous experience within an Account Management / Project Management role within the Automotive Industry
  • Knowledge specifically of Body in White (BIW) components within the industry
  • Existing relationships within the clients existing customer base or another Automotive OEM with which the client can further establish a supplier relationship
  • Other DESIRABLE skills include :

  • Experience of account managing multiple customers concurrently, across a wide range of parts and processes relating to BIW
  • An ambitious individual who aims to exceed customer expectations consistently
  • To be commercially astute whilst having a strong understanding of costings, engineering and wider manufacturing processes
