  • Role Accountabilities :

  • You will support the Head of Business Risk and work with the rest of the Risk team in the delivery of the ERM framework across the Group developing, educating and embedding risk management practices and culture within the company in line with their risk appetite and strategic goals
  • You will produce risk reporting as required and support the preparation of documentation for committee meetings, including ORSA reports and Board MI
  • You will build strong relationships with and provide trusted advice to management and employees across the Group on implications of enterprise risk in wider business context.
  • In particular, you will work closely with allocated Business Units helping them manage the risks relating to that business, monitoring progress and producing risk reporting

  • You will work with management to develop Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) used for the monitoring and reporting of risk
  • You will support and challenge First Line on the risk management and risk mitigation required for new and existing business activities including the support of business departments in the reporting of risks and risk events through the Group’s risk database
  • You will provide support for the analysis and assessment of emerging or changed risks to the Group, as required, including operational risk scenario assessments
  • You will take responsibility with other members of the team for apportioned tasks to support and coordinate the work of team as a whole
  • You will provide guidance to and support the development of other members of the team
  • You will take responsibility for ensuring you comply with the company’s procedures, policies, guidelines and reporting requirements as well as any relevant regulatory and statutory requirements
  • Skills and Knowledge :

  • Strong relationship management skills and knowledge
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, including influencing, negotiation, presentation and report writing
  • An understanding of risk management practices and their application
  • Good analytical and critical thinking ability, able to interpret information from a number of sources
  • Good degree of self-motivation, self-discipline and enthusiasm to succeed
  • Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Externally recognised risk management, finance or insurance qualification desirable
  • Experience in a financial services risk management function
  • Experience and knowledge of life and pensions / Financial Services
  • Commercially aware and committed to client service
  • Proven record of building good internal partnerships within businesses
