Description of the Business Line or Department - Summary of the business, coverage, services

Based in London, you will join the PRM Production team, which provides ITEC support functions for the Agency business across all regions (APAC, EMEA and AMER), and front to back.

As a permanent member of staff, you will support the users of the Investment Banking Division, managing the production environment of the Agency applications for Prime Brokerage trading activities.

Your user base is mostly in London and consists of Front-office and Middle-office agents dealing in agency capacity.

Summary of the key purposes of the role - Summary of the key objectives and primary goals (minimum 3)

Primary contact point for the Client facing team, you will be coordinating production teams globally to reach the expected level of service by setting up relevant controls and measures, and by developing, within ITEC, a strong partnership (FTS) & expertise on the business chain in all regions.

As a Production expert, you will also provide 2nd & 3rd level Application Support for a wide range of applications working within a global organization.

  • The successful candidate will need to be energetic, hardworking and willing to take full ownership of the platform (changes & releases, requests & studies, incidents & post actions) ;
  • ensuring issues are resolved from start to finish with relevant remediation actions ; providing functional & technical expertise for all projects impacting the production platform.

    You will be joining an existing team working on Tier 1 applications on a DevOps model, in a fast paced, high pressure environment requiring both individual and collaborative skills.

    Summary of responsibilities - Minimum of 6 responsibilities to be identified

  • Be the Single Point of Contact for the Client facing teams
  • Drive global production quality follow-up and analysis to identify the pain points and build the necessary action plan
  • Ensure the coordination of IT Major events & business process
  • Set up accurate measures on production (SLA, KPI, Production dashboards)
  • Build APAC expertise both technical and functional to provide relevant coverage for EMEA hours
  • Coordinate & resolve Application severe issues
  • Following escalation processes and managing incident and problems at all times
  • Building global expertise, both technical and functional
  • Create and maintain documentation on all supported applications, ensuring that knowledge is shared with worldwide teams
  • Working with internal clients on improving processes and procedures
  • Coordinate service remediation plans with a production stability focus
  • End to end management of specific projects.

  • Dealing with exchanges / vendors
  • Upgrading applications, following existing release processes, and validating all deployments using PRD standards
  • Ensuring the highest level of service for the above tasks at all times and following escalation process in place.

    The candidate, although working within a global team, is required to act with a high degree of autonomy. They are expected to engage members of the team in order to deliver activities required of the team.

    This involves coordination and working with members of the IT department as well as others from various business, infrastructure and external suppliers.

    The candidate may be engaged in project activities to either improve the production service or be engaged with larger teams (typically in house developers) in the handover of projects into live service.

  • Experience of working within a Financial Markets organisation, with solid support experience
  • Knowledge of prime brokerage and market technology

  • Basics : Windows / Linux skills, Networking B-Oracle, SQL,Sybase
  • Ideally Scripting languages Shell ,Perl, Java, XML, Net, SQL, PL SQL
