Wood is offering a great opportunity to develop a career in major hazards safety and risk, within a successful and respected team.
The safety and risk team is well established and expanding; the team includes experts in the major hazards industry with over 25 years’ experience, as well as a high calibre recent graduates.
Right from the start, you will work with experts reducing risk and improving safety for major high hazard facilities. Our clients include international operators, engineering designers and public sector bodies.
You will interact with key clients and work on projects at all stages, from design to operational facilities. As your experience grows you will go on to lead projects, develop technical expertise and contribute to business development.
Wood is committed to the development of its staff and support is provided through mentoring and training, for example in the areas of major risk assessment techniques, associated regulations (e.
g. COMAH) and reliability assessment.
Skills / Qualifications
You will be qualified, or on target for, a 2 : 1 degree level (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering, Physics, Process Engineering, Chemistry, or similar.
You will also have a keen interest in supporting high hazard sectors, including oil and gas, chemical and petrochemical industries.
To be successful in this role you will be a self-starting individual with proven team working skills and will enjoy finding solutions to technical challenges.
To meet the requirements of this post you will work well with others, have the ability to communicate at all levels, and must have the commitment to identify, analyse and present solutions to problems in a constructive and positive manner.
This highly diverse role also means that you must be organized, have attention to detail and be able to multi-task.
As you will be travelling on occasion to client offices, a clean UK driving license is highly desirable.
