Responsibleon a daily basis for maintaining a high level quality of service with regardsto the general electrical maintenance of all the areas within the Hotel and Spa.
This involves the provision of a high standard proactive service by providingPlanned Preventative Maintenance in line with the schedule, whilst alsoensuring a quick response time to the reactive problems communicated via theguest service centre.
In addition,electricians will have a high level of interaction with the hotel guests andtherefore should possess excellent communication skills and maintain a highstandard of presentation at all times.
The Electrician should liaise closelywith the Chief Engineer, Maintenance supervisor whilst working closely withother member of the engineering team
complete safetytraining and certifications; and properly store flammable materials. Maintainconfidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.

Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical orelectronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using handtools and power tools.
Diagnose malfunctioning electrical systems, apparatus,and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of abreakdown and correct the problem.
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and componentsto identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and toensure compliance with codes.
Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits inelectrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures using testing devices such asohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes to ensure compatibility and safety ofsystem.
Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring,equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and current NationalElectric Code and local codes.
Read and follow schematics to determine the locationof wiring / equipment and to ensure conformance to building and safety codes.
Carryout remedial electrical / mechanical repairs andminor installation work
Maintain proper maintenance inventory and requisitionparts and supplies as needed.
Test batteries in generators, fire pump, emergencylighting, UPS, etc.
Maintain Building and Property
Respond and attend to guest repair requests.
Use the Lockout / Tag out system before performing anymaintenance work.
Ensure that all flammable materials are stored in OSHAand EPA approved containment devices.
Repair miscellaneous electric appliances includingkitchen equipment
Perform preventative maintenance on tools andequipment, including cleaning and lubrication.
Carry our task as instructed by the Maintenancemanagement team
Coordinate with Others
Coordinate with other personnel within the EngineeringDepartment
Liaise and assist with sub-contractors duringreplacements, alterations, and new installation work.
Develop and maintain positive and productive workingrelationships with other employees and departments.
Perform other reasonable job duties as requested bySupervisors.
Safety and Security
Report work related accidents, or other injuriesimmediately upon occurrence to manager / supervisor.
Follow policies and procedures for the safe operationand storage of tools, equipment, and machines.
Identify and correct unsafe work procedures orconditions and / or report them to management and security / safety personnel.
Follow property specific procedures for handlingemergency situations (e.g., evacuations, medical emergencies, naturaldisasters).
Use proper equipment, wear appropriate personalprotective clothing (PPE), and employ correct lifting procedures, as necessary,to avoid injury.
Follow company and department safety and securitypolicies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment.
Follow Hazardous Material Management Programprocedures including using Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
Complete appropriate safety training andcertifications to perform work tasks.
Report any serious maintenance problems, unusualfindings, or safety hazards immediately to the manager / supervisor.

Removal of snow and maintenance of ice management (ifapplicable).
Anticipate guests' service needs, including askingquestions of guests to better understand their needs and watching / listening toguest preferences and acting on them whenever possible.
Thank guests with genuine appreciation and provide afond farewell.
Address guests' service needs in a professional,positive, and timely manner.
Assist other employees to ensure prompt guest service.
