The opportunity

Integration of new systems

  • Responsible from inception to delivery to IT Operations including :
  • oInception with third party providers

    oProject management through use of PMO and TDM teams

    oResource management through use pool of internal / external resources

    oTesting through use of Testing team

    oCollaborate with Business Intelligence team to integrate relevant information

    oWork with Transition team to deliver new systems to IT Operations

  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture team and Australian counterparts to deliver Proof of Concepts aligned with firm strategy
  • Manage backlog of the team
  • Create and manage the team roadmap aligned with firm strategy
  • Champion use of Agile methodology to deliver projects
  • Champion use of testing automation
  • Create a roadmap to move toward continuous delivery
  • Vendor Management

  • Manage the vendor and supplier relationship alongside the Procurement Team to ensure best value.
  • Manage pool of external vendors / resources to compliment internal skills when required
  • Financial Management

  • Accountable for the budgeting and forecasting OPEX and CAPEX for the Technology delivery team
  • Account regularly for operational costs including use of external resource pool
  • Responsible for short term and long term contractors within the team
  • Team Management

  • Lead, and manage, 3 sub-teams :
  • oBusiness intelligence development team

    oTesting team

    oTechnical Delivery manager team

  • Responsible for performance reviews and working with team members on their development plans
  • Manage, motivate and develop a mix of team members and team leads
  • Skills, experience and qualifications

  • Suitable tertiary qualifications in Information Technology or equivalent experience
  • Strong team management experience (3+ years), preferably across Global teams
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong communication skills allowing to communicate complex situation in a simple way extracting key points and possible decisions
  • Strong influencing skills able to work at all levels adapting their communication style as appropriate
  • Able to combine tactical and strategic approach to deliver best outcome within best delivery time
  • Demonstrable experience in delivering innovative testing approaches and solutions
  • Minimum 5 years demonstrable experience working with critical business systems
  • IT solution delivery or software project management experience is essential
  • Experience of matrix management and delivering using Agile techniques is essential
  • Candidate must be able to demonstrate proven ability to deliver outstanding service in a high-pressure environment
  • Experience of working in a law firm or a professional services environment (e.g. consulting or accounting) would be a distinct advantage, although not essential.
  • ITIL / ITSM v3 Certification (desired)

  • development : designing and acquiring business applications.
