We are looking to recruit a General Catering Assistant for 7.50 hours per week, 1.50 hours per day Monday to Friday. Based at Ingol Community Primary School Whitby Avenue, Preston PR2 3YP.
This post is term time only and pro-rata. You will assist the Unit Catering Supervisor with the preparation and cooking of the school meals, working as part of a small team.
Preparing salad items and morning break. Setting up dining room furniture. Cleaning down after service. You will also cover for the Unit Catering Supervisor in their absence.
Overalls will be provided.This position is part time term time only, please note the salary quoted is full time equivalent.
If successful the salary received will be paid on a pro rata basis, working a minimum of 5 hours on a variable hours basis.
Hourly Rate : £8.75 Observes personal duty of care in relation to service users, equipment or other resources used in the course of work.
Duties are clearly defined and leave little room for discretion.Role holders are either directly supervised or controlled by the prescriptive nature of the work.
Little, or no, prior experience is required. Role holders will need to gain an understanding of a limited number of routine procedures that could be gained through a short induction period or on the job training or instruction.
