Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of a 'Outstanding' school in East ManchesterThis is a full-time, long-
term role starting September 2018, for the duration of the academic year.
The salary will be £55- 70 per day, depending on the candidate's experience.
This is a popular two form entry community school for children aged 3-11 years.
The school has a dedicated music room for the woodwind, guitars and steel pan instruments, as well as a computing suite.
They also have amazing outdoor facilities such as the multi use games area and the 3G pitch which can be used for various sports.
The habitat area has an investigation table, bird hide and feeding station which sits alongside the canopy covered music garden and are extremely proud of being a successful school, where all the staff work extremely hard and are committed to doing their very best for the children in their care.
They currently seek a Level 3 Teaching Assistant who is Team Teach trained to support a student with ASC and challenging behaviour, as such previous experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs will be needed.
You will assist in meeting and catering successfully for the needs of pupils with SENDs in accordance with the Equality Act 2010, Children & Families Act 2014 and SEND Code of Practice : 0- 25 years 2015.
To apply for this role you will to be a passionate and hard-working Teaching Assistant who has experience working with students with EBD and challenging behaviours linked to other SENs, such as ASC.
The role :
Will involve supporting students with ASC and EBD helping them to access the curriculum within the mainstream classroom and will also involve some one to one work.
You will report to the respective SEND Coordinator, depending on the Key Stage you work within and you will be required to work collaboratively and assist colleagues in the differentiation and delivery of lessons as part of Quality First Teaching.
