Trade Manager - Deep sea & Short seaTo manage the pricing and strategy for NEMO on all European export trades.·Manage the pricing and strategy for Australia / New Zealand / Papua New Guinea cargo for all European export trades.

  • Produce, calculate and distribute all of the Europe export trade tariffs.·Assist to produce and maintain statistics.·Assist in the coordination of global tenders as required.
  • MAIN OBJECTIVES AND RESPONSIBILITIES ·Provide sales support including production and analysis of marketing data, statistics, and market trends to assist in the direction of our agents sales activities.

  • Effectively and efficiently assist in coordinating our carrier based in London input into global tenders.·Foster relationships with key stakeholders to promote proactive services through the Carrier agency network.
  • In conjunction with our trade management teams, communicate to all stake-holders market developments and trends to assist in achievement of volume and revenue targets.
  • Undertake specific projects and or studies as required by the Regional Manager Europe.·Assist / Cover for members of our carriers London office, where necessary due to holidays / other absences.
  • KEY MEASURABLES · Budget and forecast utilisation targets achieved.·Achieve contribution per TEU in accordance with agree targets.

  • Achieve revenue per TEU in accordance with agree targets.·Meet agreed timetables and standards.·Demonstrable ability to work unsupervised and meet objectives in a timely manner.
  • SKILLS and EXPERIENCE·Experience within the shipping environment - possess the technical or specialised knowledge to contribute to the bottom line as well as understanding how to apply knowledge for business gain.

  • Well developed written and verbal communication skills; the ability to liaise with a broad spectrum of people.·Negotiation and analytical skills including a high level of numeracy.
  • A willingness to take initiative and accept responsibility for actions taken.·The ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Commercial, customer-oriented approach - aware of the role of internal and external customers in the business and able to meet customer needs in a timely and effective manner.
  • The ability to develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers, agents and suppliers.·An approach to work that seeks to determine a better, more competitive and customer-
  • friendly way to execute activities.·Maturity / composure under pressure - the ability to deal with others in an open, honest and direct manner and to act in a rational problem solving mode when crisis or confrontation arises.

  • European language skills to business negotiation standards·Understanding and appreciation of European business cultures·Strong knowledge of our carrier trade routes and overseas markets, preferably gained in a commercially-
