Job Description

My client, a market leader within the Utilities industry, is looking to recruit a Data Analyst to work at their site in Sandon Dock.

Reporting to the Network Manager within Wastewater Network Operations you will provide technical and analytical support to enable the network office and team to function effectively and efficiently.

You will be a primary point of contact within the office for internal and external communications and will assist in the filtering of work to the correct member of the Field team.

Your role is key in supporting the management and control of regulatory data on a day-to-day basis and in providing a consistent system across the region for recording and storing key data in the office environment.


You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with UUW health and safety policies and procedures at all times. You will achieve this with the collating and analysis of all relevant Flooding, Blockage, Collapse, Odour and Pollution information and ensuring that all data is Reliable, Accurate and Complete.

You will also be responsible for :

  • Collating maintaining and analysis of Incident Tracker checking current job status, further work ordered, CCTV's required, customer contacts, SLA's, S2's, customer commitment and any incidents requiring further information / data, in order of ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Track written and escalated complaints received into the Field office, ensuring that Service Level Agreements (SLA's) are met.
  • Providing support at post event / post incident and serious pollution panel meetings, and track and maintain the delivery of actions, as required.
  • Collating, processing and monitoring of sewer record updates showing existing, transferred or private assets within the local office, ensuring that the sewer records are updated within the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA), as required.
  • Acting as a focal point for the Field.
  • Update and maintain central records of information on Wastewater Network assets.
  • Supporting the Network Manager in providing visibility of Wastewater Network Field team's availability calendar on SharePoint e.
  • g. standby details, holidays, sickness, meetings and training

    Knowledge and Skills

    To succeed in this role you will have achieved 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) A - C (including Math's and English), have an appreciation of Wastewater Network activities and a general awareness and knowledge of the Water industry and its' regulators. You will also have :

  • Analytical skills
  • Interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with customers
  • Basic understanding of sewerage law and appreciation of Health & Safety
  • Organizational skills.
  • Communication skills including reporting and presentation
  • Good time management and problem solving skills - able to work to deadline and achieve
  • objectives.

  • Desirable Criteria

    A willingness to undertake any necessary training would be expected and appropriate support and development will be offered.
