My client is an international, lifestyle 4* hotel group. They have a unique approach to hotel culture, and they’re successfully being recognised as a modern, trendy, growing business.
Reporting to the General Manager’s / Head of UK Sales, the group are looking for an experienced Meeting and Events Area Sales Manager to oversee all of the hotels meeting spaces and continue to push business forward.
Job responsibilities :
Oversee all of the UK groups meetings and event spaces, ensuring that bookings are maximised and used to their full potential.
Build relationships with new clients and local companies as well as maintaining existing business.
Attend regular Sales meetings to implement new ideas and discuss previous business.
Controlling the use of rooms, and making sure the sales teams are pushing business.
Act as an ambassador for the hotel group. Regular client meetings.
Checking availability and deciding whether it is the right piece of business at the right time and the right price.
Identifying weak dip periods and acting on this.
The ideal candidate :
Strong, proven proactive sales skills within hotels.
Existing experience in a similar position.
Happy to travel around the UK to sell the hotels and put in the extra hours when required to get the job done.
Great attention to detail and leadership skills.
Ability to work under pressure and train other sales team members when necessary.
Confidence in building and maintaining relationships with all types of clients and agents.
