Hotels.com is looking for a motivated, talented individual to form a vital part of Data Product Team. Your role will be to support and enhance the Digital Analytics products and clickstream data across Hotels.

com Worldwide. You will be expected to continuously optimise and expand our data capture & distribution implementations to keep pace with our fast moving site & marketing innovation, whilst also ensuring Hotels.

com continues its passion for self-serve digital analytics.

This role covers direct ownership of Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, Ensighten, and other in-house technologies that make up our digital analytics tools ecosphere.

You will identify, recommend and drive through improvements and extensions in digital analytics tools, reporting and usage.

You’ll also support our increasingly critical tag management solution, and will be responsible for continuous product improvements whilst overseeing its further rollout / adoption, across Hotels.

com and all of its regions. This role also covers direct ownership of click-stream marketing attribution technology at Hotels.com.

Responsibilities

  • Support and enhance our digital analytics and tag management products, ensuring they continue to meet the evolving needs of our business
  • Consult with the product, marketing & development teams to identify, specify and oversee the implementation of analytics business and functional requirements.
  • Own the technical specifications, their delivery to the development teams and testing the new implementations pre-launch.

  • Form close relationships with the business users to support their current day to day training and usage needs, ensuring Hotels.

  • Work with the Data Warehousing team to further integrate our web analytics data with all other corporate data sources, ensuring we continue to make intelligent use of our clickstream data feeds
  • Oversee the implementation of custom marketing attribution models within click-stream technologies, such as Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics 360
  • Exploit server-side technology as a mechanism to improve the accuracy of marketing attribution, with particular attention drawn to our mobile platforms where you will need to navigate the complexities of app deep-

  • Build your expertise of business knowledge to recommend and deliver improvements to web analytics tools, implementation, reporting and usage
  • Form close relationships with the regional marketing teams, to ensure our tag management technology is working for them, meeting any ad-
  • hoc day to day training and usage needs, and ultimately ensuring Hotels.com remains a strong culture of self-service

  • Work with business stakeholders to understand, document and implement changes to our marketing classification tool’s underlying SQL / Regex code
  • Become a the point of contact for all marketing taxonomy related queries, and help educate teams on best practices / usage of our marketing tracking codes
  • Keep up to date on developments in the industry to help drive Hotels.com’s innovation
  • Guide and support web analytics practices across our hundreds of users, owning and developing training program content and delivery across all products in our toolset
  • Skills

  • Strong analytical mindset and skills, specifically demonstrate excellent problem solving skills
  • Knowledge of web basics such as HTML, JavaScript, and URL structures
  • Intermediate to advanced SQL skills, with SQL Server experience desirable
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to produce excellent technical documentation
  • Strong organizational skills and attention for detail
  • Basic knowledge of Regular Expression logic & syntax, or willingness to learn
  • Candidates must have that curious streak - want to investigate that data point, find that insight, understand how that works and find the route cause behind abnormal patterns in our data
  • Work Experience and Education Guidelines

  • 2-3 years minimum in a Digital Analytics position
  • High level of proficiency with Adobe Analytics products and Google Analytics 360 is strongly preferred - proficiency in other tools and willing to learn Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics acceptable
  • Experience with Digital Analytics implementation a must; Adobe Analytics implementation ideally - across both desktop and mobile platforms (web and apps) preferred
  • Experience with a tag management solution in a global organisation desirable
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant technical field. (Computer Science, Information Systems etc)
