About the role

As Head of Strategic Accounts, you’ll lead the Personal Lines Strategic Accounts Sales team, who nationally cover the GI Broker function.

Your role will be to cover strategic national accounts, corporate partners and motor manufacturer insurance relationships.

You’ll build & lead business partnerships with our Brokers. You’ll ensure we’re selecting the right preferred partners to work alongside LV to ensure a mutually beneficial and collaborative partnership is maintained which will help shape, develop and grow LV ’s presence in this market.

Above all, you’ll be responsible for formulating strategy, achieving sales targets whilst leading, developing and motivating this team to enable the successful delivery of the business plan within budget.

This position can be based nationally with the flexibility to work from home or from one of our offices. Due to the nature of the role, there will be a requirement for frequent travel and overnight stays.

About you

You’re confident, professional and credible with the ability to successfully lead change. You have a strong sales target delivery background, a broad understanding of a multi-

product intermediary national sales market and experience within the Financial Services industry. If you have experience in Personal Line products, then even better!

But it’s not just knowledge that’s important; it’s how you use it, how you share it and how you develop others within your team.

This is where your proven capability of leading a successful sales team to meet business development and growth sales targets comes in! You’ll also have a strong focus on delivering results through proactive account development.

Understandably, you have strong business acumen; you’re strategic, creative, and positive, not afraid to challenge the status quo when needed.

You’re collaborative, have an inherent ability to build and maintain relationships and influence others, not only within your own team, but with external partners and senior stakeholders across the Broker business.


  • Encouragement, Leadership and Management for the Broker Personal Lines Strageic Accounts Sales function ensuring that KPI’s are achieved in :
  • Premium income targets
  • Cross-sales targets
  • New broker appointments
  • Business development
  • Budget adherence
  • Contribution and ownership of strategic initiatives to generate Sales
  • Formulation of broker commission and incentive strategies
  • Monitoring and feedback of competitor activity
  • Develop and maintain broker information to help target sales
  • Develop and maintain detailed sales targets, plans and budgets
  • Contribute to the production of sales marketing collateral and the planning of broker entertainment events
  • Troubleshoot where brokers are having problems with our service or products
  • Represent LV Broker at industry and broker events
  • Support the management, motivation and development of the team through training, coaching and utilising the LV performance management framework to deliver the business plan.
  • Lead the department in a style which demonstrates and reinforces the culture and values of LV through appropriate behaviours and actions.
  • Develop self in order to maximise personal contribution to the job.
