Buyer, Purchasing, Sourcing, CIPS
Reporting directly to the Head of Procurement, you will be working primarily at Head Office, with visits to suppliers' and company offices as and when required.
You will be responsible for all purchases for one or more EMEA countries.
Our Senior Buyers have a pivotal role in ensuring that we get the best value for money from its suppliers whilst minimising risk and ensuring business needs are met.
Day to day you'll be responsible for the following :
Support the development and implementation of regional category strategies which aligns to the global strategy
Managing RFPs, auctions and contract pipelines - utilising Ariba our e-sourcing tool
Negotiating with suppliers ensuring that expenditure is covered by appropriate contracts and delivery of cost savings
Managing all escalations of contract terms to the in-house legal team
Supporting performance review meetings with key suppliers and business stakeholders
Driving process compliance and adherence to global policies ensuring best practice is adopted
Developing relationships and influence behaviours of internal clients and suppliers as required
Delivering departmental KPI's as required by the business
Providing analysis and reporting for the countries spend as required and maintain category management documents
Supporting Global Category Leaders
Working closely with the finance team to ensure good governance is maintained
Administering orders for suppliers in accordance with the terms agreed.
You will need;
Proven experience of working as a Buyer, preferably in a fast paced organisation
Experience buying across different categories / industries would be an advantage
Negotiation skills and business acumen
Ability to analyse numerical and non-numerical data
Proven project management skills
Ability to lead and influence relationships, internally and externally, at all levels
Ability to work with limited guidance and able to respond to changing business need
Commercial law - good understanding of contractual law, including risks and drafting experience would be an advantage
