Maternity cover : This post is fixed-term for 12 months or the return of the post holder, whichever is the earlier.
The role holder's primary function will be to provide first class administrative and secretarial services to the Facilities Director, Deputy Director, Facilities and Operations and Managers of UBS.
A full range of secretarial and administrative duties are carried out in this large and busy biomedical department and he / she will play a key role in the day to day running of the administrative functions and be responsible for the confidential and sensitive information held by University Biomedical Services.
Applicants are expected to have a good general education, preferably to A Level standard including English and Mathematics, excellent IT skills with good knowledge of Microsoft office word, excel, email, internet and networked systems A Knowledge of University systems and procedures especially relating to HR matters is desirable.
Good written, oral communication and presentation skills are desirable as is the ability to act on their own initiative at all times and be able to prioritise own workloads to meet deadlines.
An ability to deal with people at all levels is essential
The appointment is subject to a health assessment and a security check. Whether an outcome is satisfactory will be determined by the University.
