Primary Objectives :

  • Manage all Alternative Legal Services (ALT) recruitment requirements across the UK, US & EMEA, with a focus on quality of hire and driving direct sourcing where possible.
  • Partner with senior leaders and the broader HR team to deliver exceptional recruitment solutions to the business.
  • Work as part of the virtual global recruitment team; deliver global recruitment initiatives as required.
  • Support graduate recruitment for ALT across UK, US & EMEA.
  • Develop and enhance ALT's employer brand in cooperation with HR and BD functions to position HSF as a top employer.
  • Key responsibilities :

  • Manage all ALT recruitment processes through the entire lifecycle, including approval, drafting engaging role descriptions, guiding hiring managers regarding appropriate sourcing channels (including direct), managing candidates through the process ensuring their experience of HSF is excellent, brokering the deal regarding remuneration, handing over to the business partner team.
  • Manage multiple recruitment channels to market roles with the appropriate forums. Fostering relationships with key recruitment suppliers, market mapping providers, LinkedIn, referral programmes and job boards, including contractual provisions and negotiation of the same.
  • Manage the firm's preferred supplier list.
  • Request and keep a log of agencies with agreed terms; tracking expired terms and assisting on projects to periodically review and update terms.
  • Liaise directly with recruitment agencies to arrange technical tests, interviews and, where appropriate, providing considered feedback regarding candidates at all stages of the process.
  • Ensure the firm's website vacancy list is kept up to date with current vacancies added and filled positions removed.
  • Ensure job adverts are placed on the relevant advertising websites as appropriate.
  • Supporting ad hoc recruitment campaigns.
  • Build and maintain local market knowledge regarding best-practice and publically-available information regarding competitor activity.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders, including hiring managers and the HR teams.
  • Work with the HR teams to analyse the genuine need to recruit by, for example, analysing current and pipeline workloads.
  • Liaison with the heads of practice and / or senior leaders as appropriate.

  • Manage relationships with key recruitment suppliers, including search firms and job boards, including contractual provisions and negotiation of the same.
  • Drive direct sourcing through the use of multiple recruitment channels, including LinkedIn Recruiter, developing market-
  • specific expertise, enabling the firm to target passive candidates. Achieve or exceed savings targets, reviewed annually.

  • Monitor management information from the applicant tracking system regarding quality, speed and time-to-hire.
  • Lead Graduate Recruitment Programmes as required, including (but not limited to) university liaison and attending regular on-
  • campus events, university open days, social media, advertising, branding, sponsorship, and organising and managing vacation / placement schemes.

  • Document processes and drive efficiencies where possible, e.g. using Linkedin Recruiter, market research providers, etc.
  • Partner with the in-house Diversity and Inclusion team regarding sourcing and selection methods.
  • Ensure selection processes are robust and properly executed and conduct competency based interviews where required.
  • Build and maintain local market knowledge.
  • Improve both hiring manager and candidate experience of the recruitment life-cycle.
  • Support project work related to resourcing.
  • Continuously refine ALT's employer brand to ensure it resonates with the best candidates in the appropriate region. Own the digital collateral related to careers for all regions.
  • Travel to offices across the international network as and when required.
  • Skills, experience and qualifications

    Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Significant experience of managing the entire recruitment lifecycle, likely gained through a combination of agency and in-
  • house experience, ideally gained with leading firms in the legal or professional services sector.

  • Well organised, articulate, numerate and commercial.
  • Able to demonstrate resilience whilst building strong relationships with a demanding client base.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity.
  • Experience in use of Linkedin Recruiter preferred.
  • Sound technical knowledge of the local legislation regarding recruitment and of best-practice resourcing strategies, which will involve liaising with the London office and other offices in the network where appropriate in order to ensure consistency of approach.
  • Robust negotiation skills, results-orientated and natural influencer.
  • PC literate (Microsoft Office suite).
  • Willingness to travel.
