The service supports 15 individuals where they live within individual flats. We have both full time and part time positions available.
1 x 37.5 hours per week2 x 30 hours per week
We are seeking support workers who are flexible and able to cope well with change as the individuals you will be supporting all have varying needs, personalities and interests.
This makes for a varied and exciting role and could mean you get to experience new things!
Some of the hobbies and interests of the individuals include; singing; participating in dance groups; and attending social events.
All the individuals ask is that you are able to be pro-active; encouraging and enable them to engage within the community.
Our best support workers demonstrate the ability to build true and meaningful relationships; whilst being able to adapt their delivery as necessary to the individual.
This could involve anything from supporting with budgeting and housing needs to showcasing your sense of fun at the bowling alley!

You will find it extremely rewarding to see the people we support achieve goals, overcome challenges and enjoy their lives by accessing the social activities and day trips they choose.
You will need to share our Mencap values and be a caring, positive and trustworthy person who is keen to support adults with a learning disability.
Due to the nature of this service; we require you to be available for sleep-ins on a rota basis. An additional rate is paid per sleep in.
