    What will I be doing?

    Reporting to the Commercial Director, as a Digital Marketing Executive for the Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh The Caledonian you will be responsible for driving increased market share and revenue through a strong online presence.

    Business Function

  • Monitor and manage all social media activation for the Hotel and support departmental initiatives;
  • Execute all agreed hotel marketing strategies and monitor on-going on-line marketing campaigns performance and reporting;
  • Create new artwork and adjust existing artwork in line with brand standards;
  • Produce and finish in-house art work;
  • Be a brand ambassador for the hotel ensuring all collateral conforms to agreed brand standards, using the right tone of voice and ensuring content is compliant with corporate guidelines;
  • Report on digital activity and make recommendations to improve performance and ROI;
  • Execute effective use and creation of e-newsletters and on-line marketing campaigns in accordance with regional and corporate online guidelines;
  • Conduct competitor research and stay up to date with the latest digital trends;
  • Develop, maintain and grow hotel databases to promote all hotel disciplines including targeted Hilton Honors campaigns;
  • Monitor and review hotel and all third party website content, ensure it is accurate and current and reflects the hotel;
  • Ensure hotel has appropriate marketing content to include up to date media lists, marketing collateral, photo library, newsletters, brochures and all matters relating to marketing;
  • Produce tracking documents and hotel fact sheet including preparing PowerPoint presentations with an excellent attention to detail;
  • Establish and maintain effective rapport and open communication with all hotel departments;

  • Experiences & Qualifications

  • E-commerce, Communication or Marketing Degree
  • Previous experience within Social Media / Content Creation
  • Experience of the main functions of marketing and leading smaller projects
  • Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with various levels of management
  • Proven experience of working to and understanding key marketing and eCommerce plans and strategies
  • Skills

  • A strong working knowledge of Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and In-Design
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Demonstrates a strong commercial awareness, able to adapt to changing priorities with key judgement and decision making skills
  • Ability to interact effectively, create solutions, influence others and work diplomatically with a wide range of individuals.
