Mission

The Operations Department (OPER) covers the middle and back office functions for all GBIS business lines (Markets, Financing) and International Private Banking.

OPER implements all necessary means to ensure the operational, administrative and financial processing market and credit operations initiated by business lines.

In addition, OPER ensures the first level of control in accordance with financial legislations.

The Strategy & Organization team is responsible for designing the CMA transformation roadmap and delivering some major initiatives involving CMA worldwide

It is a key actor for driving the CMA change across all regions, through the delegated sponsoring of key strategic projects, designing the road map and organizing its overall delivery through adequate monitoring of risk and performance.

Summary of the key purposes of the role

This role reports directly to the head of agency strategy and transformation. Main primary goals

  • Management of the Agency transformation program
  • Transversal coordination between OPER / ITEC
  • Strong interactions with the business and GBS / DIR
  • Pro active management of risks and issues within and between projects, ensuring suitable escalation to Management and other relevant parties where necessary.
  • Direct management of one or 2 operational streams depending on the work load
  • Summary of responsibilities

    The project manager will lead or take part in transversal strategic studies and major transformation initiatives.

    1. Project / program management

  • Coordination : Coordinate project stakeholders, define the appropriate methodology and governance, identify interactions / dependencies with other projects (regional / global) to ensure global consistency, alignment and prioritization
  • Reporting to sponsors and Global PMO for global projects through the SG tools (status as well as potential issues / decision needed) CMA representation
  • Project risk management : Proactive mitigation of potential risks, ensuring that they act within the best interest of the Company and its clients
  • Delivery
  • o Scope projects or programs

    o Ensure deliveries are made on time and within the allocated budget

    o Participate actively to all project phasis (from scoping to delivery)

    o Propose and conduct change management actions

    o Define and measure project KPIs

    o Control the post roll-out of all projects

  • Planning / staffing management
  • Budget monitoring : Determine, monitor and review all program economics, including costs, operational budgets, staffing requirements, resources and risk
  • Documentation management : Ensure all documentations (key working documents and exhaustive list of deliverables) related to the project are properly stored
  • Governance : Structure , define and define the appropriate governance and organisation of the program at agency GBS level, Set in place a efficient communication with all stakeholders to raise their awareness end ensure their commitment over time
  • 2. Contribution or lead to ad-hoc strategic studies

    3. Identify best practices and disseminate across regions when appropriate

  • Provides support to the business in line the specific job details and objectives contained in the Evaluation appraisal and objectives system.

  • Competencies

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; to be able to communicate convincingly at all levels with the key decision makers in the relevant business lines and elsewhere within the investment bank
  • Strong written documentation abilities
  • Coordination skills (across and between the teams in OPER and the business)
  • Understanding of Investment Banking market activities
