At Takeda, you will make an impact on people’s lives including your own. As an HTA Centre of Excellence Lead working on the Market Access Centre of Excellence Team reporting into the Market Access & Pricing Director, UK, you will be empowered to lead the Centre of Excellence (CoE) by managing a small team of CoE experts and collaborating with Ocal Operating Companies (LOCs), while driving the sharing of best practice experiences.

Lead on the collation and prioritisation of evidence needs to the Europe & Canada (EUCAN) EVDH for both development and on market product.

This direct input into clinical development plans, early stage assets and business development opportunities to feed directly into the EVDH.

Lead on delivering prioritized evidence generation activities and create evidence generation standards for the cost effectiveness archetype, resulting in a refined evidence plan across the EUCAN region.

For the HTA archetype, lead the identification and engagement of both internal LOC experts and external Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) to provide state of the art thinking on the emerging trends and best practice in health economics.

Accountabilities Lead the Centre of Excellence (CoE) in evidence generation by managing a small team of CoE (Centre of Excellence Evidence Generation Manager) experts in evidence generation and working in close collaboration with archetype LOCs, while driving best practice experiences sharing among the CoE community to foster excellence and impact of evidence generation Lead the collection and consolidation of archetype-

specific evidence needs (also for early assets Ph I) and research outcomes and prioritize & recommend evidence needs for the EUCAN archetype markets As EUCAN Evidence and Value Demonstration Hub (EVDH) member : Communicate the prioritized archetype evidence needs Share outcomes of ongoing / completed evidence generation activities from the CoE Plan in close collaboration with the EUCAN Evidence and Value Demonstration Hub prioritized evidence generation activities and create evidence generation standards, resulting in a refined evidence plan across the EUCAN region Provide expert medical / scientific strategic and operational input Partner (in collaboration with cross-

functional colleagues) with internal and external stakeholders to shape the external environment (e.g. payers), organize and run external expert advisory boards to share knowledge and improve the CoEs and participate in thought leadership activities Manage CoE team to : Recruit, retain and develop an internal team within the Centre of Excellence Both have individual projects and manage the team to deliver the following : Closely collaborate with 5-

10 LOCs to understand and collect their key evidence needs from Ph I assets onwards, in order to succeed with the full Takeda portfolio in the local markets Run advanced analyses on the consolidated data generated by the different LOCs and publish key scientific findings in high-

impact journals - This may include (exemplary) : Provide the LOCs with strategic guidance and support throughout the execution of planned and ongoing studies and provide on a regular basis status updates to the CoE lead (communicate evidence needs, research outcomes, best practices from LOCs) Collect external market insights (e.

g., competitive environment, changing regulatory / market access requirements) from the local markets within their archetype and present them in a consolidated form to the CoE lead, where they will be used to prioritise the evidence needs

Key Capabilities

Required : MSc or PhD in a scientific area (human biology, medicine, statistics, health economics) Strong experience in the pharmaceutical industry / CRO in evidence generation (health economic modelling / outcome research / data analysis).

Experience in a relevant therapeutic area is an advantage (Oncology, GI, Neurosciences) Proven knowledge of a diverse set of evidence generation activities (HEOR modelling, RWE indirect treatment comparisons, PRO), the associated regulatory requirements and experience in development strategy and the design of protocols Demonstrated leadership experience in managing highly-

qualified teams and integrate business needs of various EUCAN markets Significant customer facing experience in the Pharma industry.

Good level of clinical knowledge Experience leading full development of multiple HTAs from planning through to successful decision Strong track record of publications in renowned scientific journals Strong understanding of the lifecycle of the compounds, competition, disease area Understanding of NHS and decision processes involved in bringing drugs to the market and to prescribers Knowledge of horizon scanning and HTA organizations and other key external stakeholder bodies in UK Pricing mechanisms in the UK & Key HTA Markets Microsoft Project.

functional team Ability to think ahead and out of the box, take a structured approach to planning and securing support / buy-

in for own ideas Ability to conduct landscape analysis of external evidence generation activities and the regulatory and market access environment and to synthesize relevant information to develop strategic plans Confident with clinical data and clinical terminology, methodology and procedures Medical writing skills Well-

developed presentation skills Preferred : Pharmacist or other Health Care Professional Experience of working within the NHS.
