Job Description

Work as Registered Nurse - RGN, RMN or RNLD in a 10 bedded specialist unit in Kings Heath, Birmingham that provides advanced care for adults with a range of complex neurodisabilities acquired as result of accident or stroke.

A fantastic opportunity to enjoy working in a nurse led specialist unit that's one-of-a-kind in the local area. Always staffed with a minimum of 2 nurses, 5 specially trained carers an Occupational Therapist and Physio this is excellent opportunity for any nurse to develop a highly specialist skillset in an environment of clinical excellence.

Our client is committed to provision of learning and development opportunities to all their staff, watch your clinical skill set excel as you acquire skills in respiratory management, brain injury rehabilitation, continence and tissue viability, whilst also having access to advanced training in Neurosciences and Cognitive Rehabilitation.

Responsibilities for this Registered Nurse - RGN, RMN or RNLD role will include :

  • Work collaboratively with other members of the health and social care team including a diverse MDT of specialists
  • Admit and assess patients with an acquired brain injury who will undergo disability management and potential active rehabilitation
  • Provides short and long-term specialist services for adults with profound or complex neurological injuries
  • The ideal candidate for this Registered Nurse - RGN, RMN or RNLD role will :

  • Hold a current Nursing pin - Essential, either RGN, RMN or RNLD
  • Have a willingness to learn a range of new clinical skills
  • Be a strong team player
  • Registered Nurses - RGN, RMN or RNLD are welcome from all nursing backgrounds as Neurodisability experience is not necessary initially, as following your 2 week intensive induction you will be supported by experienced staff on every shift.
