Overall purposeof role
Provide supportto the Scenario Expansion Team and play a key role in delivering all processrelated tasks to a high standard for the IFRS 9 accounting standards, Regulatory, Medium Term Planning andInternal Stress Test scenario expansions.
He / she will work closely with the 1 senior VP and 1Director supporting them on their analysis of the output of the scenarioexpansion model.
He / she will provide support for the following tasks :
StakeholderManagement and Leadership
This role requires a significant amount of interaction with seniorstakeholders in QA, Senior Management in Risk, Finance and Treasury across allBarclays legal entities.
He / she will also be exposed to valuable interactions with contributorsto the various economic scenario narratives (primarily internal stress test)such as Barclays IB economists, strategists and traders.
Decision-makingand Problem Solving
This role requires a good understanding ofhow markets function and the interactions between all the macro economic andmarket variables.
He / she will be working in a very fast pace environment and willbe expected to contribute by proposing solutions to model short-
comings as wellas ways to improve efficiency in the economic scenarios process and enhancing existingsystems.
