We are recruiting for a Fostering Senior Social Worker Recruitment to assess, plan, and use evidence based analytical practice to assess prospective foster carers
You will be required to contribute to the recruitment of foster carers, including initial visits, information sessions and taking the lead on delivery of our Skills to Foster courses
To work to a structured time management practice; submitting reports, assessments and plans within regulated timescales.
Applicants will maintain accurate written and computerised records, in accordance with agreed procedures and in order to meet legislative responsibilities.
You will be required to enable and support the delivery of these services in an efficient and effective manner, and to work in accordance with departmental policies and procedures.
You will assist the Team Manager in service development, Safeguarding procedures, and professional supervision and in certain aspects of management.
You will take responsibility for a caseload of complex cases. As well as setting the standard for colleagues to follow, you will supervise the work of other members of the team and actively coach, mentor and develop them.
Applicants will provide regular reflective and case management supervision to social workers in the team.
You will be expected to quality assure documents to ensure they are ready for Fostering Panel or other forums.
You will be expected to work to stringent deadlines, and to support those you supervise to also meet these.
The post holder must be conversant in all areas of the Skills and Competency (Capabilities) framework for all social work staff, including their own post, in order to develop a competent and professional work force.
