The Senior Planning Engineer role plays is pivotal in supporting planning and scheduling services across a wide range of projects for the Transmission Business Unit.
Serving as a technical expert in your department, you will work with various stakeholders, both internal and external, to plan and schedule full projects from conception to completion.
Your responsibilities will be wide spanning and will allow you to supervise, create, implement and execute to agreed milestones and deadlines, whilst working to effectively mitigate risks.
Your Skills and Experience
To ensure you get the most from your role, and our customers receive the highest standard of service, we ask that you hold a qualification in a relevant discipline, to a minimum SVQ / NVQ level 5, in a field such as planning, construction management, engineering, project management, or related technical field equivalent experience will also be considered.
You will have extensive experience within utilities, with a sound understanding of the Networks business; knowledge of the Transmission business would be advantageous.
we use Primavera P6 in our teams, so extensive experience using this is essential. Sound knowledge of general IT systems such as the Microsoft suite is also essential.
Your role will involve liaising and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders, therefore it is crucial that you have excellent communication skills, along with outstanding organisation and customer relationship skills.

You will be able to work flexibly and resourcefully delivering quality outputs and ensuring that all relevant parties expectations are met, along with demonstrating resilience in rapidly changing environments.
