Purpose of the role :
In this role, you’ll be testing for bugs, errors, defects or any problem that can affect the performance of our Dynamics 365 environment as we extend it to replace some legacy CRM systems and our external Retailer portal used by our network of dealerships.
As part of this role, you will be working closely with Automotive on one of their latest projects. For the next 6 years as part of McLaren’s Track 22 plan, we are looking to invest £1 billion into Research and Development, leading to the launch of 15 all-
new cars or derivatives during this period.
Principal accountabilities :
Identify testing opportunities and develop and execute testing plans
Review test results and support developers in solving issues
Develop test cases and prioritise testing activities
Reporting defects and progress
Staying up to date with all releases, and documents
Conduct regression testing with every build
Essential knowledge, skills & experience :
Minimum of three years’ experience testing software
Understanding of software development life cycle
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is essential
Experience with Microsoft VSTS (DevOps) and Microsoft Test Manager
Worked in an agile environment - with a strong emphasis in digital solutions
Ability to manage a diverse workload and work in a fast-paced and changing environment
Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Test Manager and Visual Studio 2017 (with a view to test management)
Experience in unit, scalability and system testing
Experience in automated testing using a variety of tools
Experience in creating comprehensive test cases that ensure high quality applications
Experience with documenting new features and writing release notes
Experience of preparing test documentation including test plans, test scripts, defect reports and progress updates
The ability to review business issues and product requirements, translating them into maintainable test cases
Understanding of Agile methodologies
Experience with SAP
Desirable knowledge, skills & experience :
Experience working with off-shore development teams
Software testing skills (Web Application, Mobile Application and API)
