There are exciting Senior Staff Nurse opportunities to join the Ward Nursing Team at The Yorkshire Clinic. Our wards at The Yorkshire Clinic cover a wide range of surgical specialities which include Day-
care, Orthopaedic, Bariatric, Gynaecology, Urology, General Surgery, ENT and Cosmetics / Plastics, we also care for Medical patients.
We are looking for a Senior Nurse who is experience in surgical nursing. The successful candidate will join the team in providing a high standard of individualised patient care.
Your duties will include :
The post holder is responsible for delivering a high standard of individualised patient care, whilst ensuring patient safety, dignity and confidentiality.
The successful applicant will work as part of the multidisciplinary team.
The applicant is expected to be a role model for junior staff and student nurses.
To teach and supervise qualified and unqualified staff, and act as a role model to junior staff.
Support the ward sisters and Ward manager in day to day operational management of the ward, coordinating and teaching junior staff, bed allocation, safe staffing levels, clean environment, ward rounds.
Effective communication to ensure seamless patient pathway.
Quality Clinical Governance ensuring safe, effective care delivery which is evidenced based and directed by policy, regulations.
To provide support to ward Sister / ward manager in effectively leading and managing the ward.
Participate in all ward activities as an effective team member, supporting the Senior Sister / Charge Nurse taking the responsibility for the leadership of a team.
Registered nursing qualification or equivalent
Registered with the NMC
Sound written and verbal communication skills
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business
Demonstrated customer service skills
Demonstrated computer skills
Experience of working with both medical and surgical patients
Customer service experience
Private healthcare experience
