Responsibilities

  • Support the quarterly and annual planning processes ensuring that risk is identified and evaluated effectively.
  • To work closely with business budget holders for the better management of the cost base to include challenging assumptions and financial modeling.
  • To prepare and review billing data to ensure accuracy and integrity prior to being issued to clients. Work with the Information Management Team, Key Relationship Managers and Patient Referral Centre to resolve any anomalies and respond to customer queries
  • Participation in cross functional working groups and projects to improve processes and working practices
  • Preparation of the monthly accounts for the business in line with agreed timetables, controls and formats.
  • Preparation of schedules, reports and analysis for the monthly reporting pack. To include identification of areas for improvement and recommendations to the Commercial Business Partner
  • Support the implementation of financial controls and processes. Conduct periodic site visits to test effectiveness.
  • Support the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual budgeting and forecasting processes. To include preparation of supporting schedules and analysis.
  • Requirements

  • Experience of working within a finance department
  • Fundamental accounting principles demonstrated by progress in studying for a professional accounting qualification (ACCA / CIMA or equivalent).
  • Experience at manipulating and analysing high volumes of data and reporting findings concisely and understanding the commercial drivers behind the numbers.
  • Proven track record in making reporting efficiencies whilst maintaining strong controls.
  • To communicate effectively with finance and non-finance colleagues as well as be seen as a credible future finance partner to senior management.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains or similar accounting software is highly desirable.
  • This is a full-time, permanent position, working Monday to Friday for a highly reputable organisation.
