As a Technical Architect you will provide technical leadership and influence the technical direction across the organisation.
You will be the driving force behind the application of the LIT technical offering where you will demonstrate expertise and sell the benefits and value to the customer.
You will work across three core areas :
Delivery as part of a team hands-on coding
Evolution of a Technical Offering at an Organisation level
Leadership and coaching within the Unit(s), across LIT and Liberty mutual business and IT

In this role, you will :
Provide technical leadership and drive the development of strategic and complex enterprise products or systems involving future facing technologies and platforms.
Actively design, code and test components as part of delivery.
Drive the evolution of a technical offering across the organisation and with our customers as a recognised Subject Matter Expert and leader.
Investigate and prototype complex, cross platform business solutions to validate newer technologist. Make recommendations on emerging technological solutions to increase market share and reduce operational costs.
Analyze the technology industry and market trends to determine potential impact on the organisation and our customers.
Enable development and delivery of initiatives through knowledge sharing and the creation of best practice across Liberty IT.
Participate, and lead when required, on selected enterprise projects and communities, working closely with architects in Liberty IT and Liberty Mutual.
Consult with the organisation to ensure systems and architecture align and identify when it’s necessary to modify the technical solution to accommodate project and / or strategic needs.
Influence the implementation and champion product standards, making significant contributions to strategic roadmaps and technical practices.
Partner with the Leadership and Support team to identify opportunities to retire existing work or position the unit(s) for new work.
Collaborate with the Senior Delivery Lead and Business Transformation Director to develop and deliver any required pitch to secure new opportunities.
Coach and mentor employees to develop their potential. Share knowledge and expertise across the wider organization or beyond through networks, events and communities of practice.
Participate in meet-ups, conferences and industry events relevant to your technical offering to raise the global profile of Liberty IT as a leading technology company.

A third level degree in an Information Technology or Computer Science related field.
A minimum of 3 years’ experience at a senior level, with exposure to providing technical direction in the delivery of software in a complex, multi-
platform distributed environment.
Proven technical leadership experience in delivering complex solutions and designs using multiple technologies and processing environments.
In-depth knowledge and exposure to cloud native technologies; either AWS or Azure.
Extensive knowledge of all components of technical architecture.
