Who are we looking for?
As our ideal Cement Quality Graduate you will need to be enthusiastic, attention to detail, and self-motivated.
You will be educated to degree level Chemistry or a relevant subject with a minimum achievement of a 2 : 1 classification.
What might my 2 year programme entail?
The role of Cement Quality Graduate will be reporting to the Quality Manager and form part of the team covering our Cement business throughout the UK.
An opportunity for a Cement Quality Graduate to build on their academic achievements with development that will provide both practical and formal training.
You will gain knowledge, understanding and practical application of all safety policies, procedures and practices relevant to the role and be active in leading and driving safety standards and improvements.
You will develop understanding of the maintenance department’s long, medium and short-term goals, to enable you to effectively contribute to achieving plant objectives.
To develop a an understanding of the laboratory and quality control activities and requirements within a cement plant. The role will undertake and support all activities of a Chemistry & Laboratory Analyst, including preparation and testing of materials at all stages of cement production, including laboratory sampling, testing & analysis to statutory legislation and company Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental standards.
As well as the technical skills you will include learning to influence people and will give the opportunity to lead tasks and projects.
Aberthaw, Cardiff and; Dunbar, Edinburgh. Your will also spend time in our central Nat lab.
You will also be required to travel internally as part of the wider CRH ITP International Technical program.
