Responsible for performing general accounting processes and procedures and related activities within the Accounting functions of the Finance team.
The role is primarily focused on the General Ledger duties of an Accounting department and includes, but is not limited to, performing accounting functions within the various financial systems, reconciliations and analysis of accounting data, audit inquiries, validation of cost data and revenue reconciliations and managing various merchant processing activities.
This individual may be required to provide input to or participate in various projects and will perform other duties as requested.
Manage processing cost validation process to be implemented for various banks
Journal creation for accounting transactions for month-end accounting close
month and end-year process
revenue and expenditure variance analysis
Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
Prepare reports for review by management, and ensure journals are uploaded into appropriate financial systems
Ensure activities posted to GL accounts are reviewed and reconciled in a timely manner
Perform accounting reconciliations and analysis of data
Manage merchant processing activities, review of merchant accounts, various merchant processing related reconciliations coordination with internal and external departments
Preparation of various monthly and quarterly reports as required for tax and other purposes
Provide accounting support for audits
Respond to bank and merchant inquiries related to payments and provide support to other departments
Assist in Sox and US GAAP readiness and various other Group reporting requirements as required
Professional accounting designation required CPA or equivalent
Minimum 5 years of experience in an accounting, or finance environment
GL accounting background
General knowledge of banking and credit card processing functions.
Oracle knowledge required.
Advanced Excel skills.
