M&E Project Manager required to join a well established D&B contractor who provide mechanical and electrical services in the industrial, commercial and domestic sectors.
Due to continued growth and an order book doubling last year an experienced M&E Project Manager is needed to help deliver projects across the South.
The company provide installation of electrical systems including lighting, power, fire alarms, intruder alarms, data and telecoms and mechanical installations including plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning.

Candidate Requirements : *Candidates will require a minimum 5 Years experience of managing Mechanical and Electrical Installation projects *Strong knowledge of Electrical installations, district heating, ventilation and control systems *Manage the project from handover from estimating department through to handover.
Full management responsibility for all financial matters including monthly P&L reporting on projects, plus all planning and programming matters.
Compilation of necessary take offs and subsequent procurement of all subcontractors, plant and materials within budget targets.
Preparation of all necessary documentation to enable installation teams to complete the works. *Represent the company at meetings, promote the company image and ensure all staff and subcontractors are aware of their responsibilities with this regard.
Implement an excellent communication strategy to ensure that all team members are regularly briefed on project requirements.
Produce regular reports which monitor project performance, risk and opportunity management to highlight these at an early stage.
Develop and maintain long term relationships with clients. *Ensure any potential risks to the business are properly addressed and controlled.
Undertake line management responsibility for all direct report staff and ensure each is effectively managed. *Maintain all records, including diaries, drawings, notices, and computer data.
Strong management skills *Good understanding of both Mechanical and Electrical *Past Experience managing multiple projects at one time *Past Experience working as part of an M&E company subcontracting to a Main Contractor *Management and project reporting of all contractual and commercial aspects *Project planning for engineering resources, and management of site supervision *Production of procurement schedules, drawing, technical submittal & RFI schedules, material and labour forecasting *Management and implementation of Health, Safety and Environmental policies with our own Health and Safety team *Maintaining customer focus involving close working relationships with the client and working partners *Managing variation costing and control with Quantity Surveyor and main contractor You will, as the successful candidate, have : *Minimum 5 years, experience working in the contracting sector of the M&E / Utilities industry.
Qualifications can be either academically or field based but ideally to HNC level. *SMSTS or SSSTS or other health and safety qualifications would be desirable.
