I am recruiting for a teaching assistant to join an Outstanding SEN school and college in the Guildford area. You will need the compassion to preform this role and feel dedicated and committed to providing the best guidance and support through out the day for the students (aged 619).
You will be working with a group of warm and welcoming staff and be supported by the management to progress within your career.

To provide teaching assistance to the teacher defined according to weekly / daily / sessional planning of the teacher
To provide group and / or individual activities, planned by the teacher
To work individually with learners / students to develop work.
To support the general well being of learners within the structure of the school
To monitor and evaluate students learning under the guidance of the teacher
To assist teachers in the use of relevant management strategies to ensure a purposeful environment for teaching and learning to take place
To support all learners in their planned structured work in all curriculum areas The ideal candidate may posses the following skills and capabilities : Own means of transport is essential Be able to work with students with autism Have an understanding of the students with special needs Willingness to learn and build relationships with learners Be confident to support the lead in groups, in different educational subjects The ability to work as an individual and as a part of the team Be flexible in your approach to education Have experience working in SEND settings is desirable but not essential Are these skills that you feel you have?
