Your Responsibilities :

  • This post is responsible for the direct sales and promotion of the Olympus Industrial product portfolio comprising of Non-
  • Destructive Testing (NDT), Remote Visual Inspection (RVI), Analytical Instrumentation (ANI) and Industrial Microscopy on their territory (Scotland).

    The role involves demonstrating Olympus industrial equipment, carrying out meetings with business and procurement managers with a view to growing market share for their portfolio as well as providing after sales support.

  • Hit sales target in region of vertical market (Maintenance)
  • Establishing new, and maintaining existing relationships with customers
  • Managing and interpreting customer requirements
  • Co-ordinating sales projects
  • Making technical presentations and demonstrating how a product will meet client needs
  • Providing pre-sales technical assistance and product education
  • Recording of activity in company CRM system
  • Attending exhibitions, workshops and educational meetings.
  • Work across a wide variety of environments including high end research in academia and the UK Manufacturing quality assurance and R+D facilities within a number of industries including;
  • Automotive, Aerospace and Electronics

  • Reporting to the National Sales Manager
  • Your Qualifications :

  • Relevant experience in a scientific and / or engineering environment
  • Experience of technical sales ideally within the Automotive, Aerospace or Oil and Gas sector
  • Previous working experience with RVI, NDT, XRF or Microscopy is desirable
  • A higher-level education in science or engineering would be an advantage
  • A high level of technical aptitude.
  • A strong commercial acumen
  • A full clean UK driving licence is essential.
  • Good working knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills
  • Ability to present technical information in a structured and balanced way
  • A good understanding of the sales process
