The ESSA Category Net Revenue Management Strategy team (Beverage & Snacks focus) will take responsibility for developing and embedding our new Category Revenue Management capability.
This is a rapidly building agenda and of critical importance to our long-term Net Revenue Realisation strategy in ESSA (Europe & Sub Saharan Africa).
The roles will form a core part of the NRM Strategy CoE team and partner with the existing BU Revenue management teams to drive strategy into execution.
Key accountabilities for the Category NRM Strategy Analyst (which will formally report to the Snacks category lead, but will be expected to support both categories as required) are as follows :
Support delivery of data & analytics that will define annual portfolio NRM strategy for category (incl. separate East, West regional strategy) (Execute)
Partner with agencies to source external data & brief appropriate research (e.g. PSM)
Build and present data / collate existing BU analysis to support NRM leads in understanding NRM performance landscape at ESSA / category level including :
PEP performance & NRR algorithm vs. key competitors (Execute)
Local BU NRM performance context & strategic priorities (Be informed)
Portfolio Price Tier landscape (value, mainsteam, premium) (Execute)
Key NRM financial metrics performance and drivers at ESSA / Category level (partner with FP&A) (Be informed)
Mix diagnostics (Be informed)
Coverage of Pack / price vs. competition and demand space (at a high level) (Be informed)
Support content & data delivery behind 4 x Quarterly Pricing Council reviews for Category GM & BU Category / Marketing leads (Execute)
Support administration of Category NRM governance for innovation & commercialization process (e.g. price tier / positioning validation for NPD)
Qualifications / Requirements
Very strong analytical skills excellent competency in MS Excel is a must, as is the experience of managing complex, incomplete & inconsistent datasets and defining strategic analytics (market sizing / growth forecasts etc).
Deep grounding in analytical logic and ability to translate complex data into powerful insight
Intellectual curiosity and ability to problem solve / search out facts / engage internal & external contacts to source data without prior detailed process / guidance
Proven experience using PowerPoint to a high standard (e.g. consulting / agency experience)
Balance of data experience across Financial / P&L and broader consumer / shopper / commercial insights in a CPG environment (note no specific financial qualifications required)
Proven mathematical / analytical education experience if work experience
