Due to continued growth and success, our client would like to add to their engineering team in Grangemouth with a Senior Civils Engineer.

Ideally you will be Chartered or Incorporated Civil Engineer with Roads and Drainage experience.

You will be expected to provide clients with complete design & consultancy services developing solutions from concept design through to detailed design.

The role will involve coordination of design work and the management of projects.

Key Requirements :

  • Act as technical lead on civil engineering projects including earthwork, roads & drainage, temporary works etc.
  • Responsible for financial management of projects.
  • Responsible for developing effective solutions to suit client requirements.
  • Responsible for producing preliminary & detailed designs in conjunction with the client, consultants and other stakeholders.
  • Preparation of commercial bids and the production of tender documentation.
  • Review and check designs and drawings.
  • Qualifications & Experience :

  • Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer - Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers or Institution of Structural Engineers.
  • Significant experience of roads and drainage design including SUDS.
  • Experience of all stages of the design and construction process.
  • Experience of site visits, checking site conditions / resolving problems with contractors.
  • Experience in material take-off and preparation of bills of quantities.
  • Key Skills :

  • Excellent technical ability.
  • Competent at use of XP Micro-drainage
  • Experience at use of XP Storm would be beneficial.
  • Experience using PDS or Civils 3D would be beneficial.
  • Competent with MS Office.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Experience of project management and successful delivery from feasibility to completion.
  • A full UK driving licence as this role may require some travel within the UK
