About the Opportunity

The Public Affairs and Patient Advocacy (PA & A) Lead for Vaccines is accountable for the planning, development and implementation of the Sanofi Pasteur vaccination PA & A strategy, programmes and initiatives at the country level to support Sanofi Pasteur in shaping the vaccine and public health environment, engage with key external stakeholders and influencers, and support the largest possible number of patients able to access our products and treatments.

Key responsibilities

  • Develops and implements stakeholder engagement strategies in the UK across Sanofi Pasteur
  • Develops and manages trusted relationships, and acts as Sanofi lead contact in the UK, with PAGs and other policy stakeholders including politicians and parliamentarians
  • Champions best practice in patient advocacy and patient centricity
  • Management of resources : Accurately raises purchase requisitions with information provided by requestor and ensure such information is correct
  • Environmental and safety leadership : To care for his / her own safety and wellbeing and the safety of others, and to cooperate with the company to ensure a safe place of work
  • About You

    To excel in this role you will need to have :

    Essential requirements :

  • Broad industry and NHS & political knowledge, Matrix organisations understanding, regulatory and compliance key issues, etc.
  • Significant previous experience working in public affairs and / or advocacy, including for example patient advocacy within a patient association, the pharmaceutical or consultancy industries
  • Expertise in communication and public and / or government affairs and / or patient advocacy
  • Capabilities : Influencing and engaging skills, politically astute, results orientation, build strategic networks and transversal collaboration, challenge the status quo and able to think out of the box, navigate complexity, Excellent written and verbal communications skills, design, structure and delivery of presentations
  • Personal Attributes : patient minded, integrity, energy and resilience, entrepreneurship

  • The role is be based in our Maidenhead office but will be moving to Reading in June 2019
