About the Job :
An opportunity has arisen for a Rooms Division Clerk to join the Front Office team at Jumeirah Carlton Tower.
The main duties and responsibilities of this role are :
Greet all guests at any time in a friendly and helpful manner and attempt to learn and use guest's name at every opportunity.
Register arriving guests ensuring that full details are obtained on the registration form in accordance with established procedures.
Escort guests to their rooms on checking in, explain and endeavour to sell the hotel's food and beverage facilities. Explain all the facilities in the room, e.
g. heating, television, hairdryer etc. Inform Luggage porters of guest's room number.
Contact departing guests and verify departure date and time.
Ensure that the hotel's credit policy is adhered to at all times, with particular care to the established policy on "chance guests".
Take advance reservations at such times as when the Reservations office is unable to do so.
Ensure that all rooms are sold at the best possible rate, thus maximising hotel revenue.
Attend to guests' complaints, enquiries and request, refer problems to the Supervisor or Line Manager within the Rooms Division Department.
Carry out any other Front Office duties as may be assigned by Front Office Team Leader / Front Desk Manager.
