Overall Purpose of the Role
As a Senior Partner Manager within Barclaycard Payment Solutions (BPS) The Role holder will be responsible for managing and driving enterprise level sales relationships with Distribution Partner organisations across multiple industry sectors.
Partnership types will span across Independent Sales Organisations, Payment Facilitators, Payment Service Providers and other organisations that distribute Barclaycards products and services.
The role is focused on developing opportunities with existing partners, as well as identifying and driving new partnerships.
The individual must be a partner and relationship orientated sales person, who is self-motivated and driven to succeed.
We are looking for the role holder to bring a wealth of contacts & demonstrate vast industry knowledge across the Independent Sales Organisations, Payment Facilitators, Payment Service Providers market.
As well as competitor insight knowledge and an understanding of future innovations and market trends. You will need to demonstrate a thorough understanding of the relevant platforms across multiple industries, along with knowledge on the potential distributors of those platforms across SME, Mid Corp & Enterprise markets
Main duties and responsibilities
Business Development and Relationship Management :
You will need to demonstrate a track record of the Distribution Partnerships you have successfully managed in similar companies spanning Independent Sales Organisations, Payment Facilitators, Payment Service Providers partnerships.
Alongside demonstrating how you have commercially grown / developed these partnerships over a period of time.
We are looking for a self-starter who understands the complexity & has a background in managing Integration Partners, identifying key market players and having the ability to manage / steer the direction of each partnership to help BPS achieve its long term objectives.
You will need proven new business development skills at enterprise level and a track record in the selling of complex solutions and negotiating at senior management level.
You will be expected to demonstrate immediate credibility in terms of contacts, experience and knowledge; we will provide the technical knowledge of our products.
Driving business development and growth with each Distribution Partner is key. The role holder will be expected to identify new opportunities for growth and new revenue streams that align with the BPS direction of travel.

Commercial Contract Management & Cost Reduction :
Collaborate with internal teams to negotiate sophisticated and complex multi-million-pound partnership contracts.
Work with internal teams to successfully lead the negotiation for large contracts of high value, risk and complexity, ensuring they protect the business by providing relevant risk management and financial and non-
financial benefits to Barclays. Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction with existing partnerships where possible.
